Convolution is a sophisticated signal processing technique that demands significant computational power. It involves using the recorded impulse response of a real-world environment to create a reverberation effect on audio material, making it seem as though the source originated from that specific room or location. Additional adjustments can be made to further enhance these outcomes.

While this concept may seem simplistic at first glance, the underlying calculations involve highly complex mathematics. Initially, it was only towards the end of the previous millennium that processors and computers began to handle this computation in real-time.

Essentially, FFT algorithms meticulously analyze both the impulse responses and the audio stream. The analysis data is then intricately interwoven into the real-time audio stream through an intensive re-synthesis and accumulation process for each block of the impulse response.

It is imperative to utilize JAX Convolutor with larger processing buffer sizes (1024 samples) to maintain optimal performance. Smaller buffer sizes may significantly increase CPU usage due to various factors.
